Description
A Louis XIV ormolu-mounted kingwood and coromandel lacquered armoire by Francois Linke, circa 1900, Made in Paris. The rectangular top above a spreading pediment applied to the center with an Apollo mask, above a frieze applied with rectangular bronze mounts and paterae, the conforming case with egg and dart mounding above a pair of paneled doors decorated in colors with royal figures. The sides with quarter veneered panels, on spirally fluted tapered legs. Top right hand corner signed LINKE.
